Arc. Sonter John Chen MNIA, PhD is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sonjonchen Nigeria Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Architecture, a Master of Science in Architecture, Ph.D. in Sustainable Architecture and a Project Management Certification with a decade experience working on complex projects in the architecture, engineering and construction industry, including a five-year stint with the Julius Berger Group. He is a Green Edge Expert and LEED Accredited Professional, with scholarly publications and global citations, driven by a passion for sustainability and a strong commitment to environmentally friendly development.

Arc. Sonter is licensed with Architect’s Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Full Member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), Chattered Member of Association of Nigerian Chattered Architects (ANCA) and Full member of Green Building Council of Nigeria (GBCN). Outside of work, he enjoys soccer, travelling, and table tennis.
